Perfectionism: A Necessity for A Freelancer?

Well, it seems that in order to be a good freelancer, there is no other way than to satisfy your customer than to strictly follow their guidelines and meet the deadline. This can often be painstakingly hard, especially if you are a student or have a full time job, and freelancing is your part time money earning job.

The idea is to be stick to details as much as possible. Perseverance, hard work and readiness to give attention to details are some of the qualities a freelancer needs.

Blogging: is it worth it?

Well, to any professional blogger, blogging could be a good source of income. However newbies are not going to see any money coming for quite some time. The key term here is patience.

AdSense is a great way to earn money simply. Signing up is easy and they have all these cool features like "Manage Ads", "Channels" and "Report Manager". Customization and optimization are easy. Thanks to google, bloggers and website builders can now make a living with it.

Also there are sites like PayPerPost and matched.co.uk which will pay you based on your reviews on their articles. But in order for that you need to have at least one month old blog with at least 10 original articles.

The answer to the question I asked in my headline is : yes, it is worth it. One of my friends, who is a professional blogger, is earning more than 10000 tk per month by blogging only. You may know him, and may have already been to his sites:

http://blogkori.com/,

and

Freelance Writing.

Freelance writing is a very popular way to earn money online. All you need to do is to have some basic qualifications or skills. To be a successful freelance writer, you need to have a
1. Good, solid foundation on English,
2. Learn to meet the deadlines (often very painstakingly strict) of the clients,
3. Be specific,
4. Avoid duplication/ plagiarism,
5. Be creative as much as possible,
6. Learn to please the clients by abiding by their regulations.

If you try to follow the above advices it is hoped that one day you may be a good freelance writer. At first you may find that your articles get rejected for silly reasons, but be patient. If you stick to it, you will eventually learn the whole thing.

Now come to the point of this service providers. There are a lot of sites who provide this service:
http://www.academia-research.com/,
www.elance.com/,
http://www.getafreelancer.com/
etc.

You can sign up to these sites easily using a valid email address of your own, often submitting a profile with a complete CV, pass a test/ assignment and voila! You are a freelance writer! Also if you have written any genuine articles before signing up, you can also send them for credibility as they may ask for them.

Make sure that you meet the deadline. Clients don't like it when you don't meet deadlines. So stop procrastinating! This job is not for lazy people at all.

Also write genuine articles. Don't directly copy from other sites, online articles. This will lead to cancellation of your contract. Be creative, otherwise don't write.

That's all for now folks. Feel free to comment on my articles and refer to your friends.

Beauty or Intelliegence?

So much debate has been going on from time immemorial about which of the two qualities is more important for a person: beauty or intelligence. There has been so much controversies regarding this matter that it has become a somewhat "cliche". But this debate has not reached any conclusion, has it?

Although people admire beauty, the basic factor that determines a person's well-being, sociability, career and success is basically: intelligence. In this age of globalization and cut-throat competition, there are a lot of factors that determine a person's success, and smartness, repeat, smartness is the first one of them. Beauty can have some positive impact on employers, but what differentiates is the intelligence.

However, multinational companies, which produce and sell beauty care products all around the globe have been using cruel, intentional and ridiculous advertising techniques to promote their products. They have been saying that in order to be successful and famous, you need to be attractive, fair, tall with a figure that can blow other peoples' minds. This type of irrational, discriminatory and useless propaganda are always affecting unsuspecting people. They buy the products, get cheated almost always (research shows that there is no such thing that can increase your complexion overnight or make you grow taller). Source: www.bhoopathy.net.

If you really want to improve yourself, and lead a successful, worthy life, I would suggest that you try to improve your inner beauty rather than your outside look.
